Summer Banks

Currently an arts and living editor at the Yale Daily News, Summer Banks' began combining her passions, writing and theater, while working in a producer's office. She firmly believes that theater writing should emphasize the view in review, that the theater writer should do his or her best to recreate the experience of viewing the show and that reviewers provide an essential part of the theater dialogue, serving as audience advocates and guides. When she's not musing about the place of the writer in the theater world, Banks studies philosophy and the history of art.
