Cynthia Citron

Cynthia Citron has lived and worked on every continent except Antarctica as a journalist, communications specialist, documentary screenwriter and theater reviewer. She was Director of Publications at Boston University, serving as editor of Bostonia, the University?s award-winning alumni magazine; an associate vice president of the University of Hartford; Communications Director for CARE, the international relief and development agency; and, in Los Angeles, Public Relations Director for City of Hope. At Boston University she also served as public relations director for the School for the Arts, which included the School of Theater Arts, the School of Music, and the School of Visual Arts. She is also the co-founder of Earthwatch, the scientific research expedition organization.

Besides reviewing theater for CurtainUp.com she also writes for the Santa Monica Daily Press and is the Los Angeles Bureau Chief for the San Diego Jewish World. From 2002-2006 she was the featured theater reviewer on the Ira Fistell Show on KABC-FM Radio.

Honors and awards include: the Haile Selassie Gold Medal awarded by the late Emperor for services to the Ethiopian Empire. . .Exceptional Achievement Award for Bostonia Magazine, awarded by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education. . .Medals from the , International Film Festival of New York for Fighting Famine in Africa and the Chicago Film Festival, for Man in Ethiopia."
