This latest episode in Vy Higginsen's and Ken Wydro's successful
Mama I
Want to Sing saga is best described as a soap popera. The story is
awash in familiar sentiments
and the acting is limp, but the show bubbles with lush pop gospel singing. The vivacious cast
is headed by Grammy Award winner Lisa Fisher playing a super star who is auditioning for a new
choir member for her upcoming world tour. The "chorus line" of wannabes is so impressive that
she decides to take all the finalists with her. Union Square, 100 E. 17th St (opposite one
